What heat pumps do
The way a heat pump works is drawing heat from the indoors and rejects it outside during the summer months and reverses in the winter months. You should purchase a heat pump if the weather is usually above 30 degrees in the winter. If you live in a colder climate, we recommend using a conventional heater or gas furnace along with your heat pump. When temperatures go below their freezing point, you will need a heater or gas furnace to supplement the heat pump.
